Art

For Christmas we decided to give family the gift of our joyous smiles. Needless to say the day
we made these pictures we were ready to kill each other. It was crowded, Thaxton was not co-operating and daddy just was not in a good mood. But, we pulled together and got a few pictures.

We did single shots with mommy and daddy to give to the respective in-laws... why... well its the artsy thing to do. Or so I am told.

You may notice a shadowy box at the top of the tossing picture. That would be the light bar I almost threw my son into. But don't worry. I missed and he loved the air time.

Just thought this one was cute. In a manly tough way!

See we can have a picture without Thaxton involved.

This was the "Money Shot" as Papa Kell said: "This is what a BOY should look like. Not all smiling and cute." We gave them a large black and white of this one which apparently Papa took and got scanned so that he could have wallet sized copies.

As for general information. Thaxton can say several words right now: Juice, Cracker ( his favorite word), bird, up (pronounced Bup), off, dog, fish and ball are just a few. Fish was interesting cause it was the first word he associated with pictures and the real creature. Whether he sees it in a book or an aquarium he knows its a fish.

He is very insistent that he feeds himself. This is nice since it allows mom and dad time to clean the kitchen a little bit while he eats. And he can climb... which isn't always so nice. We can leave the room and come back and he is on the couch. This is not bad since he can get off the couch. But it can be a bad thing if drinks are left on the end-tables.

Still cutting teeth but I hear that is gonna last a few years. And we are excited that we are bumping up a class grade (age group) at parents day out. We hope this gives him some good play time with kids his age...

Well till next quarter. Happy Holidays.
